my boys go back to school this week - i am in denial.  i am holding on to every lazy morning, sea soaking day i possible can.  however, for those of you who know me, i am more productive when i am busy, so i am looking forward to getting into the swing of things, old things, new things, super things!  i can totally handle this... in a few days ;o)

i just love how things come in waves - it makes me feel like everything is connected.  just as the oceans have currents - pulling us, tugging at us - so does life.  the ocean comes ashore in waves - sometimes as small ripples, other times, huge, crashing, rollers - life?  ahh, yeah!  right now i am feeling a surge - creative, optimism, love, acceptance *sigh*  i'm building sandcastles on the shore, trying different techniques, and i'm fine with the waves washing in, breaking down what i tried, making way for another design.  "try it this way, now this way, how about this."  i'm fine with the temporary, enjoying it while it is there, until it is washed away, letting the sand stick to me, making me a part of what i'm building - or is it that, what i am building be a part of me?  *sigh*

we had a nice surprise yesterday - caddie (not sure i'm spelling it right, but the caterpillar's nick name) emerged from his cocoon!  we felt that we had to rename him mothie though, you know, it just did not suit him anymore!  the kids found him a few weeks ago and were very excited when they found him all snug in his cocoon!  however, our cousins had to leave before he had emerged, so we were on strict 'cocoon watch!'

so we took mothie out, took his picture to report back to the cousins and he flew off to the next big adveture of his life - *sigh* nature!

what a back log - between my own summer pictures and clients, i have a bit to catch up on!  as for all the other images still in my head...!  these six girls got together at a special restaurant and it was so great to see the friendship that they share.  their lives have gone in different directions, taken them to different countries and all, but their familair friendship shines through.  i had a great time girls and look forward to being there the next time you gather together again!

i have given up - i have surrendered myself to the chaos and indiscipline that summer brings *sigh*  the boys still have just over two weeks of summer holidays left, but with the departure of my sister and step daughter (today :o( ), it feels like i'm free falling towards the end of what we know as summer!  so yes, the lists are getting longer, the excitement of structure and routine are building (for me, which won't last long) and everyone in the house has a nice, healthy, brown glow!  so, who knows when i'll post again but somehow, i think in two weeks i'll have to catch up with some sneak peeks!  and of course i can't say hello without a picture...

the title of this is photo walk 2010 because that was the name given to it - a neat idea for people all over the world to get together, walk around and take pictures and then share.  ours however, should really have be called photo hike!  it was a spectacular morning and of course i was reminded of the beauty that surrounds me in this little island, but wow was i pooped!  i don't do so well taking pictures while on the move - i'm more of a wonder around, marinate kid of girl, but these are just a few of what i caprtured...  until next year!

well, the weather is feeling a bit skitzo today!  we started out nice and bright and sunny, then a few light sprinkles while the sun was shinning, then the big, dark clouds rolled in, made a little noise (thunder) and looked as though they decided to stay awhile...  whatever!  the boys are actually playing well and gave me some time to actually look through what i had taken, play a little and post - wow, crazy weather = crazy behaviour!  hopefully the sun prevails tomorrow - have a good weekend!

just hanging out with cousins after some sea swimming...  summer is just being, well, summer!  their skin has browned nicely, there is sand in their hair... all is well!

just a little part of me...  a special, encouraging partnership was made official nine years ago and i am thankful and happy for every day spent together...
